The May 2008 Canadian Biker (28 years and still Canada's most interesting motorcycle magazine) is in the mail! We are all over the map in this issue - literally. We head to South Africa to sample the new BMW F800GS and F650GS.The 800GS is an exciting new model that fills the niche between the 650 GS and the big and beautiful R1200GS.
As the cover of the magazine illustrates, the bike is a great platform for keeping an eye open for lions while enjoying the ride. Like a contestant on the Amazing Race, we fly from South Africa to Italy for the launch of the Suzuki GSX-R 600. From there we head for the Bonneville Salts flats with some Canadians on a Honda CX 650 Eurosport. We keep heading west from Utah until we arrive in China to visit with our frequent contributor Robb Biggs who has a special reason to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Finally, there is a four page feature on a new tire . It makes for some fascinating reading. Can't believe that? Well really it does and besides, we all need tires. |
