The June 2011 issue of Canada’s favourite motorcycle magazine is now on newsstands. On the cover we feature the 2012 Honda Gold Wing. After years reigning as the leading non-vtwin touring bike in the market it was time again for an update. There is some very strong competition coming and the Gold Wing will have to be up to the task to hold on to its title. We take a look at the modifications for 2012 while riding the bike through the South Carolina pine forrest. Some of the changes may not be what the legions of fans of the Gold Wing may be after.
The Ducati Diavel makes an appearance in this issue ... or does it? It does. There are a lot of questions about just what kind of the bike is the Diavel. Is it an cruiser? A sport bike? The Italian answer to the V-Max. We try to set the record, if not straight, a little less twisty. We ride it like a sportbike.... kind of.
What we definitely ride like a sportbike is Honda’s new CBR250R. This half-pint offering (seriously, half a pint is close to 250cc) rides far above its displacement and may be one of the best offerings of the year as it takes small displacement bikes out of the city and onto the highway with the power to pass.

Then we have the Triumph Thunderbird Storm. It is definitely a cruiser. And with the addition of a little displacement, a tire smoking cruiser at that. I have never seen Burt look so happy in the magazine as when he is standing beside a motorcycle in a cloud of acrid smoke.

Going back to Italian brands, we take a look at the Moto Guzzi V& Cafe and Classic if for now other reason than to cover the entire variety of twin cylinder layout - vtwin, parallel and finally opposed.
Building a chopper in the basement? The kitchen? We have our tech guy give you the answer to 10 problems you might encounter along the way. One of them is not “Can I use my oven to bake paint?” That would be up to your significant other,
On the road in this issue we visit the Florida Keys and the Paris Vintage Rally. That is Paris, Ontario not Paris, Texas.
Enjoy.
