Canadian Biker - Aug./ Sept. 2007

In the August / September 2007 issue our cover story is the Moto Guzzi Norge. It is a modern bike, kind of, from an old company and a ride we wanted to try after enjoying several Moto Guzzis over the years.

It isn't a wild shade of green like the V11 Sport we rode through the mountains of Washington a few years back but silver has its advantages if you are not wanting to draw attention to yourself.cb_234_cover.jpg Do you like your bikes big, shiny and expensive? We test a 2007 Fat Boy that has been jewel-encrusted with an additional $10,000 of factory bling. The list is long and comprehensive and guess what?....it is all covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Robert Smith of English Speaking fame needed a rest after tackling the loud pipe issue in his column so he retired to the Legend of Motorcycles Concours d"Elegance in Half Moon Bay. Cigars, cognac, beautiful bikes and sombre, whispering judges seem to have soothed his nerves.

If you have ever seen a custom Sportster like the 1971 XLCH we have in this issue, tell us about it. The words will tell the story but the pictures do justice to the bike itself.

For travel stories in this issue we feature a couple who for their third date get on a 1985 Kawasaki 1100 LTD in Halifax and head for Mexico. The other travel feature has a couple of brothers on mis-matched bikes heading towards Halifax for a tour of the Maritimes. To view the contents page click here .
