| Canadian Biker - July 2009 |

|
The July 2009 issue of Canadian Biker, Canada's most interesting and diverse motorcycle publication, is now on newsstands and mailed to our subscribers. "Farewell Smoke and Fire" we proclaim on the cover as in this issue our feature story explores what lies beyond gasoline as the power source of the future. We look at the developments in electric and hybrid motorcycles as the technology is no longer limited to automobiles.
On the touring front we follow a rider from his home in Ontario to a meeting in Gautemala aboard his Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad. Who says you need a big dual sport for an adventure ride. The other touring story has a Canadian in Vietnam attending the Minsk Olympics. The Minsk is an ancient Russian two stroke. The Olympics involve blindfolds, inner tubes and a slow race and not strictly in that order. We take a look at the wisdom of letting your brother ride your prized bike. He has only been asking for the last thirty years. What is the worst that could happen? You got that right. Call it our human interest story. We ride the new Harley-Davidson XR1200 with it's spiritual predecessor the XLCR-XR1000. Separated by 26 years the idea was the same while the execution is different. Either way both are Sportsters worth experiencing. All the columnists are present and more stories await in the July 2009 issue of Canadian Biker.
